UFLI Kindergarten I UFLI first grade I UFLI second grade
Whether you teach one grade or all three, you’re in the right place!
Still scrolling through hundreds of phonics resources, wondering what’s actually aligned?

You’re not alone. Most elementary teachers spend their Sundays hunting for phonics worksheets, second-guessing that cute freebie, and piecing together random activities to support small groups. It’s exhausting — and it’s not your fault. You have a phonics curriculum, but you still need the centers, games, and small group activities that bring it to life on Monday morning.

Finally, phonics resources that were actually made for your classroom.
I create games, centers, and small group activities that follow the UFLI Foundations scope and sequence — the kind of resources I wish I’d had as a new phonics teacher. Every one follows the Science of Reading best practices, is 100% decodable, and low-prep, so K-2 teachers and interventionists can skip the Sunday search, teach with confidence, and move the needle with their struggling readers.

Hi, I’m Christan!
And I’m the teacher behind Flying Through Phonics.
My first year teaching reading? I was winging it. I had no training, no guidance, and no resources. I found myself scrolling through pages of phonics activities, wondering what’s aligned to the Science of Reading and what’s just fluff. I knew I needed something that aligned with my UFLI scope and sequence, so I could give my students targeted practice that actually matched what they were learning.
So, I started making what I couldn’t find. And as it turned out, other teachers needed these things, too! And Flying Through Phonics was born! Now I build resources that save teachers time and give students the purposeful practice they deserve. 💛
