Hi, I’m Christan!

And I’m the teacher behind Flying Through Phonics.

My first year teaching reading? I was winging it. I had no training, no guidance, and no resources. I found myself scrolling through pages of phonics activities, wondering what’s aligned to the Science of Reading and what’s just fluff. I knew I needed something that aligned with my UFLI scope and sequence, so I could give my students targeted practice that actually matched what they were learning.

So, I started making what I couldn’t find. And as it turned out, other teachers needed these things, too! And Flying Through Phonics was born!  Now I build resources that save teachers time and give students the purposeful practice they deserve. 💛
